We all have seasons of set back and failures.

It is about your heart while being set back. It is about your faith. Fine tuning your thought process and your heart. Being in business for yourself you will experience more failure than the average american, but also more success for the average person. It is learning how to get through the lean times with your heart right and gaining a new perspective. I highly recommend the book Power of Imagination by Kerry Kirkwood. It was the defining moment in my life to move me from a place of failed attempts to successes and blessing, to be able to restore our life, finances, profession, relationships . . . it is always a process. But God is so faithful. “But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.” – Jeremiah 17:7 Have you ever considered at what point a test becomes so difficult that you decide you can no longer trust in God and you must take over to solve the problem? The prophet Jeremiah describes a situation in which the temptation to solve a financial problem can become so great that we trust in man’s way to solve it. This is what the Lord says:
“Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord. He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit” (Jeremiah 17:5-8).
Jeremiah drew a sharp comparison between the man who trusts in his own effort to solve his problem and the man who trusts in God when he cannot see the outcome. The man who trusts in God bears fruit despite the circumstances in his life. He does not shrivel when the heat comes; in fact, his roots go deeper into God’s grace. He continues to bear fruit in spite of his circumstances.

Changing Lies to Truth

If there is an omnipresent power that is not only within me, but in everything and everyone, then we are connected by this all-pervading God to everything and everyone, and to what we would like to be, what we would like to have, what we want to achieve, and to everything in the universe that God created to assist us. I always tell my children
“God created the universe to work in tandem WITH me, not AGAINST me.”
How do I change these lies to truth, consistently, everyday? All that’s required is realigning ourselves and activating the Word, the Truth, the Way, which creates LIFE. But how did I get disconnected in the first place?? How did I lose my natural ability to connect with God and His truth? Lions, fish, and birds don’t get disconnected. the animal, vegetable, and mineral worlds are always connected to their Source, their Creator. They never question their purpose. What the heck happened to me? We humans however, with our capability for presumably higher brain functions, have something we refer to as EGO. My mind. Where all truth and lies live and battle it out on a second by second, play by play. Its like a Game of Thrones up in there. It is in this place that I construct minutely, hourly, daily about who and what I am. My mind is made up of six primary ingredients that account for how we experience ourselves as disconnected. By allowing my mind to determine my life path, you deactivate the power of God. The Word of God. The Truth. Do you deal with these?
  1. I am what I have: My possessions define me
  2. I am what I do: My achievements define me
  3. I am what others think of me: My reputation defines me
  4. I am separate from everyone: My body defines me as alone
  5. I am separate from all that is missing in my life: My life space is disconnected from my desires
  6. I am separate from God: My life depends on God’s assessment of my worthiness
No matter how hard I try, God can’t be accessed through my EGO, my false beliefs. So I take some time to recognize and readjust any or all of these beliefs. When you weaken the lies in your life, you can see God and maximize your potential.
